$30 rebuy

Ok, back to posting some hands. I’m trying to do this every other post type thing, alternating between hands and concepts. So two nights ago I went really deep in the $20k guarantee on lock, $100 buy in, and ended up busting about 19th I think. However I was also getting really deep in the $30 rebuy which had a guaranteed prize pool of $25k. I’m pretty sure I played this hand wrong after the flop but I’ll let you decide.

14 people left last hand before break. The blinds are 1250 2500. I had just lost a hand where I opened utg with qq and utg+1 shoved with ace jack. So I went from being about 100k in chips down to about 65k in chips and I’m sitting on the big blind. The table has been playing relatively tight as most people want to make the final table. The small blind to my right is the mega stack with about 200k in chips and has been bullying middle stacks all game.

So again I’m on big blind and I am dealt TT. The table folds around to the small blind, huge stack, who then limps in for another 1250. I raise to 7500 and the small blind calls. I’m sitting with about 58k behind and the pot is around 18-19k…not really sure of the exact amount because this was 2 nights ago.

The flop comes Q 7 6 with 2 spades, and I have the T of spades. Small blind checks and I lead out for 6500. The small blind re raises me to 21k….what’s your move? I’m not going to post the result of this hand because not only did I play it awful, but it would also make it too easy for you to know what to do.

In addition, I know these posts are kind of dull so here is a joke my friend Jesse made up.

Q: What did the father shrimp say to the daughter shrimp at the dinner table?

A: You’re not going out in that dress… ITS WAY TOO SCAMPY!!!

Depends on the player and feel you were getting from him….was he check raising alot? If so snap shove…..

Was this his first check raise? You can still fold and have 20 bb left. I guess it just depends on how loose he was playing and if he has been trying to outplay people. If so its still a shove.

Regardless folding or shoving its probably close to a flip….I’d never just call though.

raise to 35,500/call it off.

I think the main thing that you have to do is to decide if you think you are ahead and either raise or fold. I think flatting the flop and calling down is a bad play b/c if he’s bluffing with two overs then you are giving him the chance to get there. If you flat the raise on flop and he gets there on turn, you’ll hate yourself….lol.

why didnt you shove preflop???? i dont get it, you have like 26 bb and your potentially playing with a guy might put you to a tes if over cards hit the flop, so why mess around, pick up the antes and his blind, and if he calls with a10 and below then thats ok you take that and hope to not get unlucky, i dont know against big stacks who like checkraising or very agro guys i just stay out of their way, why play marginally against them, because i am pretty sure he would call your raise with a hand like Q10 and then he owns your soul when shove over his raise… all i know is i hope you didnt flat his checkraise because that would be so horrible, because he isnt checking the turn ever for that big ass pot.

I think he re-raised with As-6s As-7s
8s9s A-7 off A-6 off or slow play Q Q but I dont know I think I shove and hope he was full of it or was seeing if i hit the flop.
