I was so excited to play the WPT Championship. I left for Vegas with such a positive feeling.

I had RTL following me for a few days prior. I really felt like everything in my life is amazing. Life is settled, finally.

Tuesday RTL saw a fairly normal day with my kids. Wednesday we went to New York. I was on the B team on Sirius radio and had an interview on the NYSE. It was a great day. Jasen and I drove back to PA and flew to vegas early in the A.M.

I had a great few days before I started playing. I met Dabney ( on High Society) her boyfriend Mark and Travis ( so you think you can dance) we had a blast.

Day one went well. I made a great call. A very hard call with a straight on board I call with AA he had AK and I doubled.

I then got through day 2. It was much tougher. I had a hard table with Mike Mizaraki to my left. I couldn’t bluff without being called. I made it. I didn’t see anything other than 2 10 2 9 or junk for 3 levels.

Day 3 4th hand I had QQ. I raised. I was reraided I flat called. With king on board I led out. He raised me and I went all in. I had a bad feeling and it was a bad move, He had a set. It was VERY over.

Everything happens for a reason. I changed my first class ticket and sat in coach next to a girl named Megan. She is 17 and had stage 4 Melanoma. I was in tears by the end of the flight. Her mom was flying so it happens Philadelphia to some cancer center to try anything. She had lost her car. It made me again put my priorities in check. I told her I would do whatever I could to help her. It had chills as my charity of choice is the Palliative Care Center @ CHOP for terminally ill children. I came home and kissed my sleeping kids.
I have already put her in contact with my contacts @ CHOP.

I have also set up an account @ Wachovia in her mom’s name for the medical needs of megan.

WOW I’m so lucky, If you care to donate anything please send a check to:

Hi Beth!

I saw you on the german TV. I likes the TV report very much! You remind me very much of my own mum, she is the same with me and my sister than you with your kids!

I hope you are all well!!
And we will see more of you and your lovely family!

If you will ever come to Germany, send me an Email, and I will show you!

Lot´s of love from Germany,

Mela

Beth, just go get some professional help to find out why you need so much attention. It’ll save you money and help your kids.

Hi Beth,
Sorry for the WPT Championship and hope next year will be better.

You won my support for trying to help that girl, not many people would do this.
