Well my bad streak is still 100% intact. I was fun playing @ one of the ESPN featured tables. I love Mike M , Andy B and Peter. Of course I was crippled with a set of 99’s vs a set of AA’s. d I left London without a cash. I was very disappointed.

I did have the best time I’ve ever had in London EVER. My BFF Jasen came with me. I experienced London through the eyes of a gay man. It was insane. I was on Compton street in every gay bar imaginable. I think it is insanely unfair how hot so many of these gay men are.

So, I should be upset. Still no cash. What a year personally. Then, I had a guy fly to London to take me out to dinner. Wow what a compliment. I’m back to the adage, no one has everything in life. I have a big smile.

September 9th I attended the Anna Sui event. There were live model’s posing. My highlight of the evening was MTV interviewing me about the song Poker Face.

Did I know it was about Lesbian’s?

September 10th was Fashion Night Out.
My first stop was @ the Kiehls Boutique. It was hosted by Emmanuelle Chriqui. She was nice , beautiful and loves poker!!!!

My next stop was the Purple Lab @ Scoop Party hosted by Veronica Varlow. There was an awesome D.J. It was a great event.

I crossed the street and headed into Alexander McQueen. I love Alexander McQueen. Their shoes, clothes! WOW!

My last stop for the evening was the @ Barney’s. The party was hosted by the Olsen twin’s.

September 11th I attended a cool event from the Byron and Tracey salon in LA. They did my hair and makeup. It was so much fun!

My evening started out with the Alejandro Ingelmo 2010 collection shoe event. The event was in the Showtime decorator show house. The loft was decorated form numerous different Showtime show’s.

September 13th I attended the Stepping Out In Italian Shoes Event hosted by Jamie Lynn Sigler. The VMA’s were amazing. How about what Kanye said!
I attended the Calvin Klein/Crush Management Angeles N King’s Party Hosted by Pete Wentz. It was @ his bar!! Great evening all around. Beyonce even had my shoe’s on.

September 15th I attended the Coco Perez event. This was the winner so far. It was @ a great venue. The music was insane!!! There was the most talented violinist I have ever seen. I wish I had Perez’s entire speech filmed. I only caught part of it. He was sooo funny.

My last event is the Hermes/Vanity Fair. I’m really looking forward to it. I must say I’m exhausted.

I’m going to regroup after this. I’m excited for the WSOP Europe. POKER TIME!!!!!!

Life has been great. I’ve been so busy where do I start?

I have been working on a few different projects. The problem is all the meetings are so time consuming. Then ultimately deciding what I really want to go forward with. There are day’s that my manager had me scheduled form early A.M. until evening. How can I possibly have a social life?

I just played a few FTOPS events. One there was over 5k in peeps. I went put around 720. I lost half my chips AQ to 2 9 off suit. The typical poker story. From there it was down hill. In the main event I played 4-5 hours. I was doing well then got short. I slow rolled my KK into a A. So life goes.

I had an awesome photo shoot in NYC. I’ve only seen 3 pics. I’m excited to see the rest.

When I get back from L.A. I’m all ramped up for fashion week @ Bryant Park. I love seeing all the new collections! What a scene. I’ll keep you posted.

I’m now getting my act together to head to L.A. I’m excited to play the Bike…I still love poker…It just doesn’t love me right now.

This years WSOP was definitely one I would not like to remember. I was very disappointed to have 3 straight years of cashes then zero. I bubbled in one event, I almost didn’t play the hand, I did have the attitude I’m hear to win not just cash. Then in a few events I put in 10- 12 hour days I think I only played 6 events this year.

The one exciting thing about losing was leaving Las Vegas and heading to LA. I love it here. The weather is just perfection to me. My manger has kept me fairly busy with multiple meetings. Then I had the event @ the Playboy Mansion.

What a great evening. Beautiful women, hot men and poker. The painted naked women were awesome. The poker ones were my favorite.. Matt Savage did a great job as usual. I went about somewhere around 40th 55 me JJ him we were 4 handed. I’m not sure how much was raised but I was sitting next to a firefighter @ my table. The money was for LA firefighters and their families. One thing I love about charity events is it just doesn’t”t matter.

I have a GREAT event I’m co-hosting next weekend. Stay tuned. <3

The plane flight was great. Things started off well. I sat next to an author of cookbooks that I own. He was reading “Bluff” it was too funny. I guess we each knew each other.

The adrenaline of being back @ the WSOP id the best. It’s ALMOST like no other feeling. My first event was #11 the 2K nl. I went deep but didn’t cash.
My second event #13 2500 I bubbled. I mean bubbled. 118 when 117 was the money. I was all in on the turn with a flush and he called me with 2 pair. He rivered a full house. I was playing to win.

The ladies event is always challenging. There are alot of women that don’t have the betting down. They will also call you can’t easily get them off of a hand. I lost half my stack calling the short stack @ my table who kept pushing. I had AQ she had AK. My last hand was A 10 vs her J 6 she rivered a straight.

I have also already lost a 5k bet to Joe Sebok. His girlfriend knew Dan and I were no longer together. What guy doesn’t talk to his girl? He took a lie detector test and PASSED

I must say he was very nervous and it was hysterical! I guess I’m dressing up at the Main Event ( if he makes me)

The 2500 6 handed went very quickly. I actually have business meetings in NYC and will be back in a few weeks after my kids leave for overnight camp.

Wait until you see these pics of Joe!

There was a array of clothes to pick from, but I chose to wear my own clothes, and it seemed that the other women that were there did as well. The men were digging in the rack!

The evening followed up with a red carpet event for Busta Rhymes new album release, and it was a very interesting party. The venue was located right next door to Scores. I’m sure half the party left and headed there!

What can I say? I really went into last evening assuming Annie was going to win. I knew that she had raised substantially more money than Joan, and in my opinion played the ” game” to a far superior level. As I said to Hollywood Dave and Andy, just like poker it’s not always fair. Rafe First (another Full Tilt Pro) was 100% sure she was going to win. We should have known something wasn’t right when most of the audience was rooting for Joan. I later found out that Annie was given significantly less tickets. Not really fair.
The after party was a ball even though everyone on “Annie’s team” was still in shock. It was so cool meeting “Detail” he wrote the song Poker Face.
Tom Green was also insanely funny. I’m sorry she didn’t win but I felt she handled herself well. Good Job Annie!

My friend and I headed to the Kentucky Derby, and flying out of Philadelphia is always a chore in itself. There was minor “weather” that immediately means the flight is delayed. After 45 minutes on the runway the flight attendant announces that the plane is heading back to the gate. The 2nd flight attendant had a panic attack. The last plane she was on was hit by lighting so they took the plane back to the gate where we waited another 20 minutes until they opened the door and had a replacement attendant.

Only in Philadelphia.

The treatment we were given @ the Derby was INSANE. Only Phil is all I’ll say. I was picked up @ the airport with my hotel keys in hand. Bags were already shipped prior and in my room. Heidi and I unpacked grabbed a quick bite and chilled at bit. We needed it. I had no idea the weekend that was ahead of us.
Friday night walked the red carpet and attended the Mint Jubilee, Kim Kardashian’s party @ Glassworks , Paris Hilton’s party @ Prime… I called it a night after that as the rest of the group went to White Castle for burgers.

Saturday we attended Kentucky Derby. Phil of course had a stretch hummer limo that had police escorts. The red carpet was cool. Kid Rock, Joey Fatone etc…
A great experience but a looooong day. We couldn’t pull it together to go to Al Capone’s Room with Phil’s group . After resting for a bit, we motivated just in time to meet Robert and Kate. We had a private “Rock Star” party, then hit Proof for dinner @ 12 . We headed back to the hotel by 2:30….not quite done a few more drinks then we crashed…….

The next day the flight into Philadelphia was delayed…. of course….

I got invited to a few home cash games and couldn’t believe how much differently they were run than in New York. It’s much more of a ” business” in LA for the people running the games but I got to meet some cool local pros. As everyone is razzing me about getting a tattoo, ( I’m still not 100%) I met a really cool woman with the most insane tattoos I’ve ever seen…Now on my way home and repacking for the Kentucky Derby

My trip out to Las Vegas started out hearing my named called by a familiar voice in the airport. I turned around and it was Annie Duke. She had a speaking engagement in PA.
This was actually my first time ever I went out, beyond poker and a meal. I honestly can’t believe it. I saw the show ” Love” on Friday night, and really enjoyed the performance and the company.

Saturday evening a few friends went to dinner @ Daniel Bolud. I couldn’t get too crazy as I was playing the WPT the next day.

I started day one completely card dead. Actually that went into day two as well. My table draws were insane. Although, there were no easy draws, the play I was watching was scaring me, and had to field a lot of bad play. On one hand the board was 4 8 3 K 9 it was a 150K pot the one guy moved all in with just a 4 and was called by 10 10. There were a few crazy hands from this tournament that will definitely stick in my mind.
I’m on to day 3 with Phil Ivey, Annie Duke and Matt Glantz @ my table should be fun.

I’m off and running again! How do people live a normal life and just stay in one place? Being a poker player really ruins you. Tomorrow I have a quick day trip to New York for meetings and Tuesday I head to Florida. I’m very excited to see my brother, a really cool holistic MD, and my niece.
I look forward to getting acupuncture when I see him and then head to South Beach for a few days. Now my daughter has been begging for a belly button ring, and honestly looks too hot already! Although I think it’s time to give in…the question is do I get my tattoo this trip or next?

When I get home I am helping host a charity poker event “Poker Players with a Heart”. Christina and Lance Funston two local very philanthropic people have an event to help end homelessness. It’s my pleasure to be a part of this for the second year, but the bad new is I leave the very next day for the WPT in Vegas. SO I have to watch what I drink or it will be a VERY long plane flight…

till next time…..

I’m really happy I flew to Las Vegas for Dream Team Poker. What a great event. It was so well organized. My flight here was fun. I flew in with my manager Eric. He tried to sleep and I harassed him. Why do men have to sleep on planes? By the middle of the flight we were cracking up as the flight attendant was so nasty that she was announcing that she needed a break.

We landed and headed right to Caesars to register and for a cocktail party. The room was so cool. Again, what a great job they did. On both walls were all the jerseys from all the teams playing. I was on “Three’s Company.” Myself, my manager Eric Brewstein and Shannon Elizabeth.

The tournament started Saturday @ 12. I was moved so many times my head was spinning. I will say I played with so many great guys that I have never played with before. My final table was with Phil Hellmuth and Tom McEvoy. Phil kept raising my blind. So of course I was fighting with him. Why does he always have to raise my blind? I moved in on him a few times. He huffed and puffed but folded. There was one hand he raised my blind . I didn’t even realize Tom was in the hand…..We started fighting. He was on the phone with his wife. I took the phone to tell his wife what he kept doing to me. I told him I was moving “All IN” blind. HAHA he knew I wouldn’t. I folded the hand. Tom wound up wining the hand. I lost a few races. Reraised with AK when it20was only 15k more to call an all in and he turned over KK. Then my final hand was JJ me vs AK him. He hit his A and I went home 68/444. I had a ball. To everyone @ Dream Team thank you!

Going into Caesars I was totally relaxed and felt great about playing. Day one I didn’t win my races but somehow I survived. I raised a few times with hands had people move all in over me and had to call for sheer odds. The first hand was my dreaded AQ vs KQ but of course he flopped the nut flush. Who said there is no luck in poker? The second hand was my 88 vs his AQ right on the flop the Ace. I ended the day not feeling terrible @ 2 A.M. There were no rooms left at Caesars and I was one of many looking for a place to sleep.

Day two didn’t fair much better for me when I was all in with A 10 vs 88 with the 10 on the flop it took a minute for me to see there was a straight by the river. I lost 15 from the money. Such is life in poker. Dan and I took our daughter and her roommate out to dinner before she headed back to college. Lucky her after killing us for years we finally gave in and bought her a new car. Some people do have all the luck!

The pool was great during the day, and we just sat outside all day and relaxed. I’m still in amazement that my daughter had me doing shots on Saturday night. needless to say that Sunday was not a good day for me, but I’m so relaxed. I’m making a vow to myself to travel twice a year with NO poker involved. Caesar’s is next for me and I’m still working on a few exciting options. Stay tuned…

What a great trip! Denmark was so cold I couldn’t believe it. My poker went terribly. I called a raise with AJ and there were 4 callers. The flop gave me an Ace. I led out. (EPT we only start out with 15K) The turn was a 2. I led out again and was only left with a few thousand chips. The guy moved me all in. I sat there and though it’s a young kids trying to get me off my hand. WOW I was off as he had a set of 2’s…whoops.

I flew from Copenhagen to Florence. The flight was a nightmare! It was snowing and I was watching snow dump on the plane. The plane was delayed 2 1/2 hours. The pilot kept announcing we are in cue for deicing. I finally landed in Zurich and missed my connecting flight. I waited around 5 1/2 hours on standby for a plane to Florence. I was worried I wouldn’t make that plane. By the skin of my teeth I made it and landed in Florence late Thursday night. I forgot how beautiful Florence is. My son is having the time of his life. To study abroad for 5 months and to live in a foreign country wow! He has met an amazing group of fiends from an array of colleges. The drinking and nightlife I’m way to old for. They don’t start out until 12:30 and continue on until 5 a.m. It’s insane. I was out 2 nights in a row. I was happy to fly home. Next for me is a Bahamas trip with my older daughter. My family is first then poker second.

This week has been a crazy week for me. I spent all day yesterday in New York as I had a fashion show and lunch hosted by the managing director of Christian Dior. I sit and people watch in amazement how 90% of the women look there. I don’t think they clearly look in the mirror before they leave their home. Although I love seeing beautiful clothes I clearly do not “fit in” this group of people. One of the women from the Housewives of New York was there amongst other society women.

I left the luncheon to meet Molly Hellmuth. Phil Hellmuth and Robert Williamson III are hosting the 2nd annual Kentucky Derby Poker Championship. I’m going to help them with some of the planning as well as attending. It’s going to be a great event! There will be a smaller buy in tournament on April 30th @ the Horseshoe Casino in Indiana. On day two there is going to be a $5000 event @ The Kentucky Derby. I will post the website for further info later.

I have one last meeting in the evening then I’m headed home. I have a real cool day tomorrow…Stay tuned!

This was a fun weekend. Friday night I met with Tony Ward for my final pictures. It’s amazing how a man has a completely different eye than a woman does. The images he picked were not what I would have picked. We compromised, I took his advice and he took mine. We agreed on 14 images that I love. Tony gave me a disc with images that I couldn’t open! As soon as I get a new one I’ll post a pic!

After I left Tony I went to see the 10:20PM He’s just not that into you. I never see late movies. It was such a bad movie I was falling asleep at the end. It’s amazing I can stay up through the night playing poker but not for a movie ….why is that?

Saturday was a blast. My son’s best friends parents had a private party for a restaurant they are opening in Philadelphia. The restaurant is a steakhouse called Union Trust. It is in a beautiful old bank building and there were thousands of people there from the Mayor of Philadelphia, to local newscasters etc…I couldn’t have too much fun as I had to drive home: (I will post a pic as soon as Philadelphia Style sends one. A really nice photographer took pictures.

I have a crazy week with so much to do. Saturday I leave for Denmark for the EPT. I’m excited. I’ve never been there before. My game plan is to play then when I get knocked out to fly to Florence to visit my son. He is living in Florence for 5 months studying abroad.

Okay so which direction do I go in right now? I have so much going on. My patent is really close to the final approval, I just had a meeting in New York with my attorney, and I have to say the firm I have been using in top tier. Hughes Hubbard and Reed. We submitted the final drawings and paper work for the last approval step. Now the decision is do I license the product or go into a joint venture? I have so many decisions to make. Thank g-d I have great counsel to rely upon. Poker will always be my first love but it is comforting to potentially have another real source of income.

At the same time I just went over my raw picture files with Tony Ward. Wow! he really did an amazing job. He captured shots that ranged from soft, sexy to just plain hard core. He has some great ideas and really was able to photograph me in a different perspective than I have had in the past.

SO now what next. A little less poker just for the time being. I think I’m skipping LA. I only have played LA one time and I didn’t do well as I don’t go days before to adjust to the time. When I get late into the night it is equivalent to 4-5 AM East Coast time and I’m falling asleep @ the tables.

My son is in Florence studying a semester abroad. Tough life. I call him and the usual is he’s out every night. Can I be him? I’m going to try and visit him and play and EPT event if I can schedule both together.

If I have to pick do I play Monte Carlo or the Bellagio 25K? I don’t like leaving my kids for both. It’s still so hard trying to juggle everything. I’ve never played Monte Carlo and I really love it here. But can I miss the 25k Bellagio? Sometimes new is good right?

Day 1A was the what it seems like “the usual grind” for me. I saw 2 hands all day. 66 and AQ. With the pocket pair I was real cute and bluffed away 15k on a crazy board. By the river I finally got through my thick head that I was beat. I then spent the rest of the day looking @ 3 10 , K 3 etc…. I even started playing bad cards hoping to hit. I don’t think I could have hit a target if it was smack dab in my face. On the last level of day there was a raise I looked down @ AQ my dreaded hand. I’ve lost my last 4 tournaments with AQ. I had a bad feeling so I folded it. I was hoping to go into day two with a fresh start. Day two I actually had a good feeling. HAHA what does that mean? I built my stack to about 37K from 27K. I was one double up away from the chip average. I raise one from the button. I was re raised by one of the blinds. I moved all in. He insta called. I turned over QQ the best hand I have seen. He turned over AK. I knew I was dead. BANG right on the flop.

At least the Borgata is a drive and not a plane flight home. I’m not sure what I’ll feel like playing next.

I really know what people mean when they feel that poker is running badly for them. I drove to Atlantic City to play the 1k @ the Borgata. Both of my kids had plans for the weekend so I figured why not. Obviously the play is totally different in a 1k tournament. My Losing hand: I was in all and had the Ace high flush and lost when the board paired to give him a full house. I then went to play cash games and lost a big hand with AA to 10 10 all in with him hitting a 4 flush. I decided at that point to go the bar and have a few drinks. Poker was just not in “my cards” for the evening.

Daniel Negreanu saw me walk in the poker room and said you have two major problems in your life. Wow he really does have a sick read. Insanely sick. He’s right!

The one bright light in my life is an upcoming photo shoot. I met Tony Ward through a mutual friend.Tony founded a new company Tony Ward Productions. We have a scheduled photo shoot for Wednesday. I’m so excited. I have a great vibe from Tony. I feel he is going to give me the best results I have ever had to date.

What a great New Years for me. I have been working on a patent for close to 3 years and the process is grueling. No one can even imagine what it is like to get a patent approved. It started out with an idea. Then I had a prototype made. The filing process is so time consuming. The patent examiner will keep trying to find one reason to deny your patent request. After revising my patent and re filing 3-4 times over years. Last night my lawyer called, THANKS KEN, telling me it was finally approved!

I have so many projects going on right now. I will always play poker! I love poker! Everyone needs other income avenues right????

Happy New Years!!!! I feel a great 2009 with or without a poker win.

Christmas was great! I went to Miami with the older kids and we stayed @ the Ritz Carlton South Beach. The hotel was beautiful and the pool was insane. They had huge “bed lounges.” I had one great evening, Dan went to Liv with the boys and I went to Rose bar @ the Delano with my daughter. It was awesome. I rolled in at 3:00 but could have stayed out all night. I finished my short trip seeing my family. My brother lives in South Florida and I love seeing him so I can get acupuncture. I’m back to PA and hopefully off to the Atlantis next.

Also, How amazing was it to fly over eagles stadium on my way home and find out they actually had a chance at making the playoffs! I still can’t believe that game. GO Birds!

It’s always good to play @ the Bellagio. I love the structure there and I just don’t know why I never get any cards. I went the entire day plus the next day without AA KK or any small pocket pair. I had four hands the entire tournament. I lost with 3 and tied with one. I raised with AK which I hate. I had not seen any hands was reraised by a very loose player. I flat called. I could have pushed but I really do not like AK that much. I did not hit the flop ! I bet once and gave up. The best of all was i was all in with QQ and was called by QQ. What luck. I tried the suited connector idea. Raising and calling raises. That was not working this time either. Some are really not meant to be.

It was great to be in Las Vegas. I love it there. The charity event I attended was special. By the way Karina you are crazy! I actually came home happy. Who knows why?

Tonight was cool. I went to get a necklace that I feel in love with. It was by a designer ” Dimodolo” . I tried it on but was a good girl and left without buying it. I went back to buy it after obsessing over it. There was a great party when I went to pick it up. The store Benari’s had a mens night HAHAH. I’m assuming it was to get men to buy a Christmas gifts

It was actually a great concept. There were barbers shaving men, a cool Frank Sinatra singer and great food and wine. The store was packed. It’s an amazing jewelry store with almost all of the MAIN designer lines you can think of. The owner is great and I’m in love with my new necklace Tea Leoni and I have the same one now. I’m feeling some good luck : )

OFF TO VEGAS NEXT
