Cannes was beautiful but he food really wasn’t tops since it was the off season there. Also it just seems like a few of the French people just don’t approve of North Americans… But whatcha goin to do? I ended up losing in an interesting hand: PS the play in Cannes was the very worst I have ever seen and I can’t wait to play there again next year as it is pretty much free money… I busted when it folded to me in the SB and I looked at KQdd playing 86k @ 600-1200 and only being covered by the BB at the table who was playing like 104k…It folded to me and I raised to 3500…He was one of the players I had been waiting to isolate the entire day…He re-raised me to 11500 and I think peeling was a good option since I thought he was likely to slip up post flop so I called and peeled the flop off…Flop: KcTs4s..I bet 8k and he makes it 18k like insta so I think he’s full of it and it making a play to test the waters with like 55-88 so I just peel again thinking I have him murdered(no flush draw in his hand or i repush obv)…Turn Ks and I bet 8k again to induce action from him…He insta shoves for ~80k and I snap call my stack off…He shows 6s6c and the river is a 9s…Lol…..Gotta love Cannes

Wcoop 10k: I played this on a whim and ended up pretty much dominating while I played. Funniest momments: Busting Isaac Baron yet again(must be in his head by now for sure), trapping victor ramdin perfect with AA, waking up with KK vs a tilty moneymaker, trapping #1Pen(wow he’s tight eh?), and of course the 256k cash… You can watch the replay of the 10k final table @ www.pokerstars.tv

EPT Barcelona:

started today with 65.5k and worked it to 100k busting someone on the first hand when I played a6hh like a genius blind versus blind from the big blind…

Raised Q8cc in EP BB defended 500-1000..flop QsJc7c bb checks i bet 3500 and he calls…turn Jx…he fires out 5k and i know he has 3 jacks so i just call. river is the 3 of clubs and he bets 8k with 10k behind…i ship him in and he takes 1 min 30 seconds to act before shrugging his shoulders and then putting his chips in… I flip up the queen high flush and he slow rolls me by turning over a jack and a 3 of spades(first just the jack) and then the 3 5 seconds later….sigh ok still at 55k or so…

moved to feature table: bulldozing up to 60k…raised button to 4100 at 800-1600 with AJ…already aware a ship will happen from one of the short stacked blinds so I insta call when the BB ships 22k in with a2hh and rivers a fucking deuce for 50k…

k i steamroll my way back to 77k 3betting this danish guy like 5 of 7 hands…then it folds to him 7 handed blinds were 800-1600..i asked him if he would raise my blind yet again? he commented that i was a rude bastard for talking when the small blind was still in the hand..i was like whatever bro its poker so play….he made it 4100 and the sb insta mucked…i looked at 99 and 3 bet him to 11500…he did the whole im so fake strong thing and i saw it clearly…he shipped for 70k and I insta called…he showed j4cc and flopped a flush draw…the turn was the fucking 9c and i could never boat up

WPT Borgata: Flew across the ocean the day after I busted from Barcelona in order to make it to the always well ran WPT @ the Borgata In Atlantic City…

Yeah the weather was nice…I just got back to Canada from Atlantic City(yes I was in AC @ Borgata to play the WPT like 10 hours after busting in barcelona)…Managed to lose KK to QQ with 10 hands left in day 1 ~150k pot river Q all in pre…And thent he next day I looked at AA on the button with blinds @ 500-1000 100A playing 46k…Hyper Aggro opens in EP I call on the button with AA and the BB also comes along(mark weitzman)…Flop KxQh6x checked to me i bet 1/3 the pot to induce action…So I fire 3800…Weitzman quickly takes the bait and makes it 10k on top…Initial PF raiser mucks his hand quickly and I ship my stack in for 34k more on a top of the 10k he put in…He takes a min and a half and calls with K8hh after saying this is going to be ugly…turn Xh river 8c obv…

I was flying back to Toronto from Vegas on Sunday on an Air Canada flight and our flaps stopped working(the brakes for the wings) after we took off from Vegas. We had to do a crash landing on the Vegas runway using only our brakes for the landing gear…Craziest shit ever ppl! When we were landing for like 5 min the plane had the left wing going up pointing into the space and then it would roll around to the other wing being pointed up…so crazy… I’m glad to be here still people…

Anyway I’m back home now and look forward to a break until Europe comes up…FTOPS starts tonight and I’m not sure which events I will play.

O ya I went to the gun range today with my boy from Canada; Patty…it was a blast…I highly recommend it to anyone…Honestly, it helps with any life tilt! This was not my first time but I did get to try out some absolutely sick guns this time around…There was this crazy new full auto from Israel that has like no recoil…Then I was firing this crazy pistol that is a version of the P90…It was some crazy armor(american) armour(canadian) piercing rounds with it…sooooooooooo dope!

Mike ‘Sir Watts’ Watson sat down on Day 1 of the event with the simple goal of playing solid poker. And he did just that, picking up pots when he sensed weakness, laying hands down when he sensed danger, and not only trying to survive, but accumulate chips in an event that was teeming with dangerous pros.

He had a few swings, but managed to stay alive and soon found himself deep in the tourney with a considerable stack. He also got a little lucky along the way — his 10 10 outdrew Glen Chorny’s AA in a preflop race, sending a rattled Chorny to the rail.

Chorny, who hails from Waterloo Ontario and is an acquaintance of Watson’s, quickly logged onto Pokerforum.ca, where friends of both players were tracking their results, and cursed his bad luck, calling it the worst bad beat he’s suffered in tournament poker. He didn’t receive much sympathy, however, especially considering the fact that he pocketed a cool $3,193,822.00 after winning the 2008 EPT Grand Final in April.

“That was the first time in the tournament when I got really lucky, when I got the money in behind,” admitted an unapologetic Watson.

Ok so I was playing the 15k World Poker Tour Bellagio Cup tournament this past week. The first day went pretty well for having no cards and I managed to win some hands and build my stack to ~105k…Day 2 was totally dead for me and thanks to a couple of good plays I manged to finish to ~154k…Day 3 is where I saw kings for the first time and actually won some chips to finish at ~525-550k…Day 4 was going really smoothly for me but again I had no cards and then finally I got a couple of hands. Watson raised the button to 66k in 12-24k 3k and looked at KQo(would have shoved any 2 here actually) and shoved on him for ~680k from the SB…This is not a normal play for me at all but I didn’t think it was bad for future hands especially since I know he’s mucking…So the BB and Watts insta mucked and I took that pot down and was at around ~790k…

The very next hand after that it folded to SirWatts who again raised the action to 66k…I look down at two aces on the button and re-raised to 180k thinking he might not believe me…The SB insta folded and the BB looked at his hand for like 10 seconds and then asked me how much I had behind after the 180k…I informed him around ~593k and he looked back at his hand and then folded it…Watts looked a bit confused by the BB by continued to think anyway…After a minute and a half he shoved on me and I snap called…K53 looked all good until the case ten fell on the turn…No ace came on the river and I was left in shock while Watts would go on a sick run and play well too to win the title….I lost a ~1.75million chip pot with 14 people left in this thing…14th paid ~64k peanuts on a 15k buyin…thanks for paying the top 100 bellagio! sighhhhhhhhhhhhh…

Ok so it has been a long ass time but I will be better about posting here. First off I finished +T~100k for the month here including tournaments, backing and cash games. So finishing up doesn’t hurt but it could have been a lot more. Read on.

I am very frustrated currently. I had a horrible WSoP this year being only day 2 in 14 events total including the main event. Not more than one result in that group was based on playing badly. Therefore, I encountered a rediculous number of “setup/rigged” hands this year. The one day 2 I made was in the 5k 6H event and it ended very ugly for me.

I busted in 69th in a pot for the chip lead…look at KK UTG(first time hand better than QQ in 2 days) and I make it 5100 in 1-2k Ante=X…folds to button who makes it 16k…folds to me I make it 41k total…he calls…Stacks are: 150kish~ for me and 180~kish for him…The flop came down 762 rainbow and i chose to lead in order to look weak… So I only bet out 35k with ~80k behind…He insta called and the turn was the 3…I bet out again 57k with ~17k behind…He insta shoves I snapped and he showed 333 to me lol…

Ok so then I played a few events with little success and moved onto the main event…I busted on day 1 losing 2 huge pots one consisted of holding KTcc all in vs 97cc on a flop of TAc8c turn offsuit jack in a 110k pot…I manged to make a comeback and then a 70k pot with JJ vs A3…lollllllllllllllll

I will post another addition in a bit regarding the Bellagio Cup…some hand histories and what not…

I busted from the 10k headsup on with k6cc all in on the turn for 22k(i had him covered by 2k) when the board read q64 turn 6 and he happened to table pocket fours. Lol nice right?

Hey guys!

On Wednesday I did play the 5k NL tournament at the WSOP. I was really looking forward to this tournament but got very unlucky early to find myself around 6k in chips. I grinded back to 22k by the fourth level when I won a big pot with QQ. I busted on the following hand:(i have no information on anyone @ the table)

Early position opens to 1300 in 150-300 25A…MP re-raises to T5400 total…I go all in instantly from the SB for 21k ish…He takes 10 seconds then insta calls showing AKcc vs my AKhh…He flopped the club draw and rivered it like a champion…GG GL etc etc…

So I am playing the 10k headsup within the next four hours. We’ll see how it goes…
