WSOP Blogging Report 1
- Hevad "RainKhan" Khan | May 31, 2008
I entered the 10k 2 days ago and I chipped up to 25k rather quickly. I had a tough table draw with Erik Seidel, Todd Brunson, and Ralph Perry. About one hour and 30 minutes in, I had QQ on the button and was faced with a cutoff raise by Ralph Perry of 1,050, blinds 150 / 300 (Pot-Limit Hold’Em). I decided to make a re-raise of 3,000 chips, it folded to the Big Blind (Seidel) who re-raised to 10,000 chips with 6,000 chips behind him. Perry folds, then I decide to move him all-in, and he calls with KK.
Event#2, 1500$ NLHE:
I drew Bill Edler to my right and Tom Schneider across the table. On hand#2 I looked at AKcc and Edler had opened the pot to 150 chips one seat to the left of the under the gun position. I called, and 2 other people called. Then, Schneider re-raised to 750 chips in the small blind (everyone begins
the tournament with 3,000 in chips at 25/50 blinds, one hour each blind level, so it goes pretty quick). Edler decides to call the 750 total, and I make a re-raise of 1850 total, leaving 950 chips behind. Both players to my left fold, and Schneider moves all in for 3,000. Edler thinks for about one minute before deciding to move all-in as well for 2,800. I call the remaining 950 chips from my stack and we all turned our hands face up. Schneider: QQ, Edler: 55, Khan: AKsuited. Flop ran out T A 5 , turn T, river K. Schneider is eliminated, Edler triples up, and I am down to 375 in chips. I busted shortly after.
Later,
-Khan
