BALANCE
- Lee Markholt | February 24, 2010
I think it is very important to keep balance in your poker life. Keep a somewhat normal schedule, working out, eating healthy, taking time for your friends and family, and sometimes just time for yourself away from poker – to recharge. I see too many players play 2, sometimes 3, days straight. This is unhealthy, to say the least! I also see players just play every day, and have no other life. Yes, it’s your job to work hard, put in the hrs and make money. Nobody wants to quit or miss a good game, but keeping balance in your life is more important. If you don’t you’re sure to get burned out and lose your desire to play at all!

Hi Lee,
Tried to leave you a msg yesterday but was way offshore on boat and not sure it went through. So here it is again. Congrats on your success, Margie and I are always rooting for you. I plan on retiring again soon and plan on trying to get back to playing tourneys. If you get to the Biloxi area let me know, we can offer you a good home cooked meal and maybe catch up on our lives since last we worked. You can reach me just about anytime at 228-365-0174 unless I am to far offshore. All the best.
