Poker in the Park/Jamie Gold Foundation Launch

Legendary Editor and all around poker god Michael Caselli has offered to help me launch The Jamie Gold Foundation in London at Poker in the Park. I am truly honored to be a part of what I have missed the last 2 years and though we are only 2 weeks away I know my friends will come together to make this happen. Peter Eastgate is going to co host it with me, Michael Greco my closest friend out there is helping us get celebrities, Tony Jones and Poker Icons are all pitching in to make sure it is a great event. We are lucky to have donated prizes worth the price of admission 500 pounds, and really cool auction items. The Casino Empire (where the WSOPE takes place) has donated the VIP room and staff and it seems this will be a great way to launch. PokerStars has even put up a main event seat to EPT London as a prize…we are very well supported. August 13th, Thursday, I will speak at Poker in the Park in the square there, as will Peter and Michael and many others (www.pokerinthepark.com). Bluff is really going all out to make this even bigger and better than last year and it’s free to attend the seminars. Having the current WSOP champion is an honor and I know how lucky we are to have all the support we do. Melissa at Lyceum is working like mad to get the word out, she booked us on Sky TV and has 4 different television outlets covering the event not to mention the red carpet work and all the magazine and print coverage, it’s not an easy thing to do. This is a great way to announce the foundation to the world. Now if we can get our website up and running we will really be official. We have a great team. It’s alot more work than I had ever thought. The last 70 charity events seem like a walk in the park compared to the first official one for our foundation to support all the causes we believe in the most. The pressure just doesn’t compare, but I need to feel I am really affecting positive change in the world so this is most important and rewarding. I look forward to sharing more soon.

Jamie, I got a great idea….why don’t you PLAY poker instead of talking about it? I think we both know why…we think you coaching anyone at poker is laughable…but, if you would when you finish coaching the basketball player send him back to Bobby’s room…lol

Jamie ,
Please guy, just SHUT_UP!!!!!
You are embarassing yourself with these stupid foundation crap! Sorry, but you can not change your scummy reputation by doing this charity routine. You just can’t man. Everyone knows you can’t and won’t REALLY play poker man.
The players you name-drop are certainly not “icon” players…..

Hey Jamie,
i just wanted to say that your the reason why i started poker. Everyone said your a fish. NOT* I thought your reverse psychology was amazing. I love the fact you tell people what they don’t or do want to hear to trick them into calling. I do that a lot, and it’s so fun. Also, I knew you weren’t a fish when you had pocket 8′s and they way you played it against Allen. Great job. Hope to see you playing again one day.

Last but not least,

GOTCHA*** :D ! :P
