Yeaaaaaa last night I shipped the nightly $100 on cake for about $4000. Which puts me right on track, out of makeup and ready for Jamaica. I got in some serious spots that put my abilities to the test. The whole end of the tourney I had this solid regular 31spin31 to my right, which means he is super aggressive. I had the big stack and he was raising just about every single one of my big blinds when he was in small blind. So every single time I would just call, and call down with any mid pair+. I won 5 straight pots in a row vs him and I think something got to him because all he did was call me a clown. He even tried to value bluff me on the river, betting 1/5th of the pot out of position, a spot I WILL NEVER FOLD IN MY LIFE AGAINST SOMEONE CAPABLE. However he has a serious ego problem and couldn’t understand this concept. Which brings me to my point.
There is no point in playing poker other than to make money, or have fun, if you play for entertainment. This guy challenged me to a $1,000 heads up match because his ego was so inflated that he couldn’t handle losing. He knows that I’m a solid player because I’ve played with him so much, but he still didn’t avoid playing pots with me. Lesson learned, check your ego at the door or you will lose, against anyone.
I’m playing the mini ftops right now and I love the field. It is the 6max quad shootout and the players aren’t very good. I got seated 3 handed with 1 person sitting out. So it was just me and 1 other person playing. He was the type of player who only played his cards, not mine. So every pot we got in I would just float the flop and if he checked the turn I would bet and scoop up the chips. Hopefully my luck will keep going and I will win round 2 also, hell I’m 1 tabling so I better do well.
